John's Driving School offers classroom hours from 6 to 9 pm Monday thru Thursday.
Summer classroom hours are 9 to 12 mornings and 6 to 9 evenings - Monday thru Thursday.
Classroom training includes 10 3-hour lessons. You can start class the day you sign up and take the remaining lessons as it is convenient for you.
We offer the pay as you go program, $99 is due at sign up of first lesson. You can come to class any night Monday through Thursday and sign up that night. You just pay your $99.00 in cash or check and you start your training.
When you finish your 10th lesson, you will pay $99 for your certificate of enrollment in the behind the wheel training known as the blue card. This will be explained to you at enrollment. The blue card is required in order to take the Minnesota written permit test.

Adult lessons available to fit adult work schedules. Adult lessons are only $90.00 for 2 hours with a certified instructor in our specially equipped cars. Use our cars for your test.

John's Driving School: How 2 Get Your License
|
- Complete classroom training of 10 sessions of 3 hours each.
- Enroll in Behind the Wheel training Program and be 15 years old.
- Go to Dept. of Public Safety testing station and take written permit test.
- Begin practice driving with a 21 or over licensed driver.
- Take your 1st Behind the Wheel 2 hour lesson within 2 months of obtaining your permit. Call John's and set up a convenient time to do your 1st lesson.
- Practice what you have learned and do more hours on the road.
- Do 2 more 2 hour lessons with John's driving instructors to complete your 6 required hours of instructor training. Certificate of Completion (White Card) will be given when required hours are completed.
- Do at least 30 hours of driving with your licensed driver.
- Make an appointment to take your Driving Examination. You're ready!
